The Women’s Hemostasis and Thrombosis Clinic at Duke University treats women who suffer from a bleeding disorder or who are on anticoagulation therapy and require management of menorrhagia; and women who have a bleeding or clotting disorder and are pregnant or desire a pregnancy. Founded in 2000, the clinic is part of the Duke Hemostasis & Thrombosis Center (HTC), which provides a multidisciplinary approach to the diagnosis and management of patients with a wide variety of hemostatic disorders and is a leader in basic research efforts, translational research, and related clinical trials.

The National Hemophilia Foundation is dedicated to finding better treatments and cures for bleeding and clotting disorders and to preventing the complications of these disorders through education, advocacy and research.

Established in 1948, the National Hemophilia Foundation is a nonprofit 501(c)3 organization with chapters throughout the country. Its programs and initiatives are made possible through the generosity of individuals, corporations and foundations as well as through a cooperative agreement with the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC).
